Overall, my stay at Hotel Cortezo was pleasant, with a fantastic central location making it easy to explore Madrid. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I found the bathroom layout a bit awkward and the internet connection slow. The room was comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. 🌟

Rooms

My room was spacious with a separate lounge area. The bed was quite comfortable, which I appreciated after long days of exploring. However, the bathroom setup was odd, as the toilet was too close to the sink. 🚿
Service

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting me with local recommendations and even booking transport for checkout. They spoke excellent English, which made my stay easier. 😊
Location

Hotel Cortezo’s location is ideal, just a short walk from both Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. It’s perfect for exploring the main attractions of Madrid, which made my sightseeing very convenient.
Dining

Although I didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, I noticed it looked quite lovely. There are many dining options nearby, which was great for trying out local cuisine.
Facilities

The hotel provided useful amenities, but the gym was quite underwhelming and had limited equipment. Additionally, the rooftop area could use some improvement to enhance the guest experience.

5.8/10

I stayed at Hotel Cortezo for three nights and I really enjoyed my time there. The location in the heart of Madrid made it easy to explore the city. The staff were friendly and very helpful, although I did experience some noise from nearby theaters. Overall, I would highly recommend it for a comfortable stay in a great area.

Rooms

The junior suite I had was very comfortable with a large bed and a spacious bathroom. It was clean but had some noise issues from adjacent rooms and the hallways. The air conditioning worked well, though.
Service

The staff were wonderful and friendly. They were always willing to help and provided extra towels and an iron upon request. They definitely added to my positive experience.
Location

Hotel Cortezo is in such a fantastic location. Just a few minutes from Plaza Mayor and close to a subway station. There are plenty of great cafes and restaurants nearby for dining and drinks.
Dining

I didn’t try the breakfast, but at a good price, it seemed worth it if reserved in advance. There were numerous good dining options just a short walk away, which made it easy to find something I liked.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered great amenities including a rooftop terrace for views of the city. Parking was available, which was a plus for me. However, I found the bar area a bit lacking in atmosphere.

6.0/10

During my stay at Hotel Cortezo, I was pleased with the cleanliness and central location, making it easy to explore Madrid. However, the decor felt quite dated, and I had a less-than-welcoming experience at check-in. Overall, it was an adequate stay that offered good value for the price, but I did not find it particularly charming or modern.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and equipped well for the three of us, but felt cramped. We had requested three twin beds, and they set it up just as we asked. Still, the decor could use a refresh, and there were some small issues like peeling paint and poor air conditioning circulation.
Service
6.0
The service was generally pleasant. The staff helped with our requests, but the reception experience on check-in left a lot to be desired. I encountered a rude staff member when addressing my room preferences, which was quite disappointing.
Location
9.0
The hotel is in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from attractions like Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. I loved that we didn't need to use public transport to get around the city, which was a big plus.
Dining
7.0
I found the breakfast to have a good selection, including some gluten-free options. Though it wasn't extraordinary, it was decent and enjoyable, serving its purpose for starting the day.
Facilities
7.0
Housekeeping was efficient, keeping the hotel and our room clean. However, some areas, like the elevators, could use improvement as they were a bit slow. Additionally, the lack of proper bathroom features like ventilation was noticeable.

5.2/10

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Cortezo, thanks to its excellent location and friendly staff. However, the interior and facilities felt a bit outdated, which slightly impacted my overall experience. While the breakfast was quite good with plenty of options, the room's noise insulation was disappointing, making it difficult to fully relax at times.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and clean, but it showed signs of age and lacked soundproofing. I could hear noises from surrounding rooms and the corridor.
Service
8.0
The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any questions and requests, which made me feel welcome.
Location
10.0
Situated in a small street right in the city center, the hotel was very convenient for accessing major sites like Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. It's a great base for exploring Madrid on foot.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, from sweet pastries to hot dishes, which I enjoyed. There are also many local cafes nearby if you're looking for something different.
Facilities
6.0
Some facilities like housekeeping were good, but the overall décor and maintenance seemed in need of improvement.
